Kontiki, Oberursel

The Kontiki in Oberursel is so far my fav Korean Restaurant. We have been to some Korean Restaurants in Frankfurt and Oberursel, but we like to come back here a lot.  The People are really nice and i love the food. To be honest i kinda order the same thing most of the time cuz i m really in love with this soup (see pic below, the filter makes it look really red but its not kimchi jjigae^.^).

I think its some kind of brown bean paste kinda soup with tofu and meat (actually it has seafood in it but i m not much of a seafood person so i always ask for beef hehe, if u know the actually name just let me know in the comments below haha.

You can either go there by train since from the trainstation you only have to walk 5minutes to get there, but you can also go by car since the Kontiki offers 5 parking spaces right in front of the restaurant and in case those r takin there r a lot of other options.

British Book Shop, Frankfurt City (Germany)

When you are living in Germany and you are really really into reading books, which are not in german, most of the time you only have 2options:

No. 1 is going online, because you know that every book you ever wanted to read (expect some really tough expectations, believe me i had them already and i eventually gave up on them *sighs*) can be found online somewhere

or

No. 2 you go to the closest bookstore praying that they will have the book you desperately want to read and you just cant wait long enough to order it online and wait for it everyday!

WELL luckily you either already knew about the next store or you just found this post, because this next store i m about to talk about is my personal "little heaven".


Let me introduce to you the "British Book Shop"

I have never been to heaven, but this is what little heaven might look like for someone who lives in a place where the most books are sold in german, when you are actually love reading english books.

 


So when i came here i was all "OH MY GOSH"! i mean dont get me wrong, i know there is the Hugendubel and Thalia, and both bookstores have some english books and i could easily just order books there or online. But i m just the kinda person who loves to go to the bookstore and browse thru all those books around me. SO THIS is exactly my kinda store.


The store is really close to the city (in case you know where the hard rock cafe used to be or that korean karaoke bar, its really close by)

Please do check the store out if you love reading books in english. The ladies who work there are also really nice =). One of them gave me a bunch of flyers when i said i would tell people about the store and here i am doing what i promised. Just have to hope people will actually read my blog from time to time (or at all lol) and go to the places i suggest ^.^

As for the parking spaces you have 3 options
No.1 parking garage (most of them are 1.5o€ an hour)
No.2 you take public transportation to Frankfurt Hauptwache
or No.3 you drive around and around until eventually you'll get a parking spot somewhere ^.^good luck on that one hehe

Kim's Laden , Eschborn (Germany)


Kim's Laden

While first thinking this awesome shop isnt around anymore, we almost didnt go check. Really Glad we actually did, while at first you might think its now a Car-repair shop you just have to check behind it.

And then you will find this


This Shop is slightly bigger then the first one and it also has different stuff, of course they also have stuff the first one had but they both have slightly different stuff.  So while you might think that the other shop has the exact same things you r definitely wrong.

This for example isnt something i have ever seen in another Korean Shop (not that I have been to all of them yet, so who knows ^-^)


So if you are into bread definitely come here ^-^


The man who runs this place is also very nice and he tries to help you as best as he can.


While one of my friends was running around the store "OMG"ing everything she saw i took some pictures ^-^.

Green Mart (그 린 마 트), Eschborn (Germany)

Green Mart (그 린 마 트)

First Korean Supermarket we decided to go to is in Eschborn (Frankfurt am Main) its a rather small shop, but not that small.



They actually have a lot and i'm really happy about finding my beloved brand of Jjajangmyun there which so far the other Supermarkets i visited didnt have.



They also have fresh Kimbap (bought 3 and loved them) and other dishes (sry cant really tell what it all was but i m guessin most of them were korean sidedishes).


This Supermarket is a really cute one and if you happen to be in the neighborhood why not check it out. But i have to say one thing you might want to avoid the rush hour because wow it took us a pretty long time driving back.
